Port Stephens bluewater.

Duration: 80 minutes.

After following the Hunter River to the Coast at Newcastle Harbour, you will descend to fly 20 miles along Stockton Beach. You will see the shipwreck of the “Sygna” - the largest ship to be wrecked on the east coast of Australia.

Approaching Port Stephens from the south you pass over over Anna Bay, Fingal Bay and then fly through the islands at the entrance to Port Stephens. Stunning beaches stretch north and south, and crystal blue waters will often show pods of dolphins in this region. In the right season (May to October) look for whales that also pass Port Stephens on their annual migration.

On our return we fly right past the Williamtown airforce base – so look out for high speed fighter jets that often fly right over the top of us. We then fly over Mount Sugarloaf and Abernethy Pinnacle before one last pass over the vineyards before landing.

Cost: $180 per person (includes GST, minimum 2 people).
